The City of Grand
Rapids owns a number of parcels for residential and some commercial
properties. Most are tax reverted and sold with the requirements of
redevelopment.
Though terms and
conditions for the development of commercial properties varies, buyers
of buildable residential lots are required to construct a single-family
housing unit on the lots within one year of the date of purchase.
