What a record setting year for the Foremost's Butterflies Are Blooming exhibit! Total attendance for 2001 went off the charts as 150,000 people visited the exhibit during its eight week running.

Distinctive radio and television spots, richly designed print ads and billboards and live remotes from the Gardens during peak hours created quite a public relations and advertising impact in 2001. The addition of celebrity docents from local radio and TV stations each week created enthusiasm and generated public interest in seeing what the butterflies were all about.

Expansion to the facility in 2000 made it possible for even greater crowds to visit the Gardens. The addition of an educational component for children reinforced the message that the butterfly exhibit is informative, magical and fun for all ages - from 8 to 80.

Our butterfly webcam proved to be a popular stop for many butterfly watchers. The entire butterfly Web site is open year round. Email postcards introduced to the site in 2001 are a great opportunity to enjoy these rare beauties. Why not send a couple to your friends, relatives, and co-workers?

Expect more magic in 2002 at the Frederik Meijer Gardens, and especially more color and joy from the Foremost's Butterflies Are Blooming exhibit, the largest temporary butterfly exhibit in the United States. Monarch butterflies avoid the lethal cold of the northern winters by flying south.

Do you migrate south for the winter? Foremost's specialized insurance programs for motorhomes, and travel trailers give you peace of mind when you're on the road.
